Question: Noise reducing headphones. (my boyfriend snores)?

My boyfriend snores, and loudly at that. We don't live together but the nights we do share together, I find it hard to fall asleep because of his snoring. I am a heavy sleeper once I am asleep but my problem is FALLING asleep. I am wondering if anyone has any success with a noise reduction headphone. Preferably one that could be plugged into an Iphone if I chose to listen to music or sleep sounds such as waves and rain. Thanks in advance.
