There are a many possible ways to address a snoring problem. Some people snore because they carry a little extra weight. The back of the throat closes under the additional weight and that creates the snoring problem. Losing weight is one of the best ways to address a snoring problem. Drinking alcohol or milk products before bed also increases snoring. Alcohol relaxes the back of the throat, which again causes it to collapse a little onto itself. Milk products can create that phlegmy film back there which can worsen snoring. If these lifestyle changes don't fix it, you can try surgery, CPAP machines, mandibular displacement appliances, over the counter remedies or tongue displacement mouth pieces. |
